| I just saw this comment, and am sorry that it took so long to reply to. I will hopefully be releasing a rooting guide for the G1. Currently, however, there are much better guides out there than I can write at this time. Here are some links to guides on rooting in general - for once you get rooted, it is as simple as using the Recovery mode to flash any zip. Easy as pie: Download zip, put it on your SDCard's root, reboot in recovery, and flash away. ;) | |

| I know that this solution solves it usually - but I double-checked the files. They're signed fine. Run an MD5sum on my file, and your signed one. They should be identical. | |

| Force-closes to the market are not due to the theme. All I change are images. Try reflashing Cyanogen's Mod and THEN my theme. | |
| PinkOnBrown : [Cartoon] - Secular Norway 5 months ago | |
| Is France leading? According to the 2005 paper, the top 5 agnostic/athiest/non-believer countries are: Sweden - 46 - 85% Vietnam - 81% Denmark - 43 - 80% Norway - 31 - 72% Japan - 64 - 65% France is number 8. Also, proportionally Norway STILL wins with 14.9%. Even though it has an official church, only 20% of Norwegians feel that religion takes an important place in their lives. In fact - only Estonia, Sweden, and Denmark are more secular. Point being that national belief does not equal individual belief. http://www.adherents.com/largecom/com_atheist.htm... | Wanted to “disclaimer” the fact that I use the myVidoop OpenID service. That being said, the image shield is an excellent and secure way to keep screenshots/keyloggers/etc from getting my passwords. It *works*, and works extremely well, for the myVidoop service.I’m not so convinced about the Captcha move though. More and more my site is being plagued by spammers who are not bots, but humans paid $.10-.15/post to hit websites…sometimes even less. There is no way that this would stop a human, and most of the simple anti-spam services are able to filter out bots with quick captchas - like simple math or technology checks for Javascript and the like. With spam databases like Akismet, you have an even larger net to filter out the autospambots. Having to use the imageshield to post comments as well would be slightly irritating. Simplicity and speed are key to keep users commenting and signing up.Read more comments by Dr Philippe Fenderson, KSC, ASL | |

| PinkOnBrown : Late-Night CND 10 months ago | |
| Yes. It was an emulation of the crazy messages that grace message boards and IRC chatrooms across the internet. Some of it is based upon the words hurled forth from the mouths of troubled hobos on the bus, accosting the passengers with ludicrous accusations and verbal filth. Also, the whole "shit", "ape", "faggot" aspect is inspired by a number of studies I have been reading about primate/human territorial behavior and anal/territorial response mechanisms. See the ranting of Francis E Dec (whose voice samples were used on the Venetian Snare album Infolepsy on the track "Americanized" [which I listened to over and over as I wrote this]). | |

| Also, DNA has been found to have a bizarre ability to put itself together, even at a distance, when according to known science it shouldn’t be able to. Explanation: None, at least not yet.Scientists are reporting evidence that contrary to our current beliefs about what is possible, intact double-stranded DNA has the “amazing†ability to recognize similarities in other DNA strands from a distance. Somehow they are able to identify one another, and the tiny bits of genetic material tend to congregate with similar DNA. The recognition of similar sequences in DNA’s chemical subunits, occurs in a way unrecognized by science. There is no known reason why the DNA is able to combine the way it does, and from a current theoretical standpoint this feat should be chemically impossible.http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2008/12/does-dna-have-t.htmlRead more comments by Dr Philippe Fenderson, KSC, ASL | |

| You should also check out Agglom for just web-sharing.Agglom is the place where everybody can easily save and organize any kind of set of links to keep private or to share with different levels of privacy.Everyday millions of web users search the web for specific topics: have you ever spent hours to come across a specific list of interesting web pages that you would like to save? Agglom provides you powerful services to keep track of any list and set of links and, eventually, to share it.This is why Agglom is the next generation of social bookmarking. In standard social bookmarking services you may have hundreds or thousands of saved web pages, in a huge unique list of tagged resources difficoult and hard to browse. In Agglom you can save sets and lists related to specific topics that will ease your web experience and the ones of somebody else, if you decide to share them.Allows you to save open-tab sessions for collaboration and linking. Supports tagging and more. Would be excellent to have a feed for this blog.Read more comments by Dr Philippe Fenderson, KSC, ASL | |

| PinkOnBrown : Pirate Party membership gains momentum a year ago | |
| You mean Sweden? According to Wikipedia: Constitutionally, the 349-member Riksdag (Parliament) holds supreme authority in modern Sweden. The Riksdag is responsible for choosing the prime minister, who then appoints the government (the ministers). The legislative power is then shared between the parliament and the Prime Minister led government. The executive power is exercised by the government, while the judiciary is independent. Sweden lacks compulsory judicial review, although the non-compulsory review carried out by lagrådet (Law Council) is mostly respected in technical matters but less so in controversial political matters. Acts of the parliament and government decrees can be made inapplicable at every level if they are manifestly against constitutional laws. However, due to the restrictions in this form of judicial review and a weak judiciary, this has had little practical consequence. Legislation may be initiated by the cabinet or by members of Parliament. Members are elected on the basis of proportional representation for a four-year term. The Constitution of Sweden can be altered by the Riksdag, which requires a simple but absolute majority and two decisions with general elections in between. Sweden has three other constitutional laws: the Act of Royal Succession, the Freedom of Press Act and the Fundamental Law on Freedom of Expression. | |

| Ah, the lessons that the "flashing lantern" can teach us.My room mates and I were discussing this the other day - how the shows we used to watch when young used to sometimes have bizarre and metaphysical implications. One example was with Family Matters - the show with Urkel. For some reason, the entire last season of that show changed from being a cheesy family sitcom to struggle of subconscious identity. Urkel has an alter-ego named Stephan that he can change into with a machine. But then, with episode after episode of him changing between personalities, he ends up struggling with the Stephan personality taking over his psyche. In the end, the more "accepted" personality of Stephan breaks through and takes complete control - leaving him with no vestiges of his former self. Bizarre for that type of show. | |

| I would also like to second the Identicons suggestion. It seems to be more useful to use a system that many sites use (the Identicon system ) - and even Gravatar itself uses - in order to hve a unified profile across sites...even ones not using the Disqus system. Here's is more information on the official Gravatar implementation:http://blog.gravatar.com/2008/04/22/identicons-...Seems as simple as adding an extra string to the end of the Gravatar URL if they don't have an account. | |
